Liz Carlson is an NYC-based director and creative producer committed to the development and production of new stories. With New York Stage and Film (Interim Artistic Director ‘22-’24; Artistic Producer ‘19-’22; Associate Artistic Director ‘16-’19), Liz supported the development of new work with artists such as César Alvarez, Ngozi Anyanwu, Christopher Ashley, Jocelyn Bioh, Jaki Bradley, Adam Chanler-Berat, Margaret Cho, Heather Christian, Jim Dale, Delta Rae, Sarah DeLappe, Halley Feiffer, Laurence Fishburne, Beth Henley, Lily Houghton, Emily Feldman, Keelay Gipson, Jessica Huang, Melissa Li, Michael R. Jackson, Jason Kim, Grace McLean, Don Nguyen, Mason Alexander Park, Brian Quijada, Josh Radnor, Amber Ruffin, Sarnak, Danya Taymor, Lauren Yee, Stevie Walker-Webb, Kit Yan, and more. Liz also served as the Artistic Director for the new works incubator Naked Angels from 2013-2016. As a director, Liz has developed plays and musicals with Ars Nova, The Dramatists’ Guild, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Flea, Keen Company, Manhattan School of Music, Manhattan Theatre Club, The New Group, Playwrights Horizons, The Playwrights Realm, Signature Theatre Company, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and more.
